Is it a free design service? 

Yes, the consultation is complimentary.

Does someone come to my house? 

Yes, we will visit to discuss your requirements and take the necessary measurements. This will be followed by an email providing you with a detailed proposal including designs and a quote for the build.

What is the benefit of having fitted wardrobes over freestanding wardrobes? 

The main benefit of having fitted wardrobes is that the wardrobe is tailored to your needs as a homeowner. They can be designed for a specified area or room utilising all available space. This gives you the luxury of planning exactly what storage you need, from hanging space and number of drawers to compartments for shoes. 

How long will it take to make the furniture or wardrobes? 

This depends on complexity or ease of the project, which will be discussed with you during the first consultation.

Can I specify the colour of paint I wish to use?  

Yes, we will agree with you the colour during the first visit and will colour match to your requirements.

Does the paint fade on painted furniture? 

All paint can fade as it is affected by light and where you position the furniture. Laura James Bespoke uses premium paint to reduce the risk of fading, and the furniture can be repainted to freshen the look. 

Is the bespoke furniture made in the UK? 

All the bespoke furniture is handcrafted in our workshop in North Wiltshire.

Do you have a showroom or brochure? 

We don't, but we do have images on our gallery page, or you can look at our Instagram page @laurajamesbespoke for inspiration. 

Can I place an order through your website? 

For bespoke furniture please complete the contact form with all of your furniture requirements included and we'll be in touch to discuss your project.

What deposit do I have to pay and when?

Because the furniture is made specifically to your unique requirements we take full payment when you accept the quote.

Do your prices include VAT? 

Yes.

Can you provide a VAT invoice? 

Yes, just let the project co-ordinator know you need one. 

Can I cancel or make change to my order after I have paid the deposit? 

After you accept the order and pay, you have 24 hours to change your mind. After that if you decide to cancel at any time we will retain 50% of the price paid. Other changes to the furniture would depend on the progress of your bespoke project. We will do our best to accommodate the change if possible, for example a change to the finished colour or handles, but we retain the right to not to accept changes if it is too far into the project.

What are the delivery charges? 

A separate delivery charge will be itemised on the invoice for the project.

Do you offer international delivery? 

No. Our installation team will install the furniture for you and can only accept orders within the UK. The distance we can travel from North Wiltshire will depend on the size of the project. 

Can I collect my order? 

Our bespoke furniture is made to order, so we take care to install your project on site.

Will my items be delivered at the same time? 

Yes, the team will always aim to install your project at the same time, unless you have a large order, but we will discuss this with you.

Will I have to pay a separate installation charge? 

Installation will be included in the price for the overall project.

Can I track the progress of my order?

After the project

What is the guarantee? 

2 years.

Do you provide spare parts after 2 years? 

Yes, although there will be a charge after the 2-year guarantee period has ended. 

Can I order more paint? 

For painted furniture an additional 1 litre tin of the selected paint colour will be provided at the end of the project. If you do require more paint, there is a minimum order value of 5 litres of paint plus delivery.

What are my rights to return an item? 

As the item is unique and made to order we cannot accept the item back and issue refunds. Any problems with the initial fitting must be reported within 48 hours of installation.

Can I use your images on my website or blog? 

Laura James Bespoke owns the copyright to all images, and you would need to ask permission to use them on another website. However, we are happy for you share on social media posts containing our imagery.
